Abstract

Objective: to analyse the dental consequences of excessive intake of processed foods in children aged 10-12 years. Method: descriptive observational study of 86 participants. Results and Conclusion: Overall, 98.8% of parents recognise that processed foods impact health, reflecting a significant perception of their harmful effects. However, only 41.9% believed that educational programmes could be effective in reducing consumption of these foods, while 48.8% were uncertain about their impact.
