Objective: to analyse the impact of oral contraceptive use on oral health in women. Method: Systematic review. Results and Conclusion: Oral contraceptive use has a significant impact on women's oral health, especially periodontal health, where it has been associated with an increased risk of gingivitis, periodontitis and gingival enlargement due to hormonal changes that alter the inflammatory response and tissue vascularisation.
