Abstract

Objective: analyse dental caries from a multidisciplinary perspective of prevention and treatment. Method: systematic review was applied, the population was refined to 15 scientific articles. Results: prenatal supplementation could have a preventive role in children's oral health. Conclusion: the use of risk assessment models, the application of minimally invasive treatments and the control of biofilm can reduce the progression of carious lesions and improve oral health over time.
