Prevalence of halitosis in university students [Prevalencia de halitosis en estudiantes universitarios]

Objective: To describe the prevalence of halitosis in university students. Method: Systematic review of 15 articles. Results and Conclusion: Halitosis is a multifactorial condition that affects both the oral health and psychosocial well-being of those who suffer from it, especially in populations such as university students, where factors such as stress, eating habits and oral hygiene play a crucial role. Understanding its prevalence and underlying causes, as well as establishing appropriate treatment protocols based on the classification of halitosis, is necessary to improve the quality of life of those affected.
