Objective: to analyse the main orofacial manifestations of child abuse and their relevance in dental practice. Method: Systematic review of 15 articles. Results and Conclusion: The orofacial manifestations of child maltreatment, such as oral mucosal injuries, lip bruising, tongue and gum lacerations, dental fractures and signs of dental neglect, are key indicators for dentists to identify. These injuries, which can result from blows, human bites, blunt objects or neglect, have a significant impact on a child's health and well-being.
