Objective: to identify side effects in patients taking Pregabalins focused on Xerostomia. Method: systematic review. Results and Conclusion: Pregabalin use is associated with xerostomia as a significant side effect, impacting essential oral functions such as chewing, swallowing and phonation, and increasing the risk of caries, oral infections and periodontal alterations. A higher incidence of this adverse effect is observed in polymedicated patients, older adults and those with pre-existing conditions, such as hypertension and autoimmune diseases.
