Abstract

Objective: to identify the prevalence of malocclusion according to Angle's classification in high school students, Imbabura, Ecuador. Method: descriptive observational study. Results and Conclusion: It was identified that in the rural area class III predominated with 45%, reflecting a higher incidence of severe malocclusion, while in the urban area class I was the most frequent with 60%, suggesting a better occlusal balance. Overall, Class I accounted for 42.5% of the cases, followed by Class III with 30% and Class II with 27.5%.
