Abstract

Objective: to study the design of removable partial dentures in palatal torus from a literature review. Methods: Systematic review was applied, the population was refined to 15 scientific articles. Results: Torus, depending on their size and location, may require specific adjustments or the incorporation of relief techniques in the prosthesis to avoid patient discomfort. Conclusion: The literature review shows that, although palatal torus is not a pathological condition, its presence can significantly interfere with prosthesis stability and adaptation, requiring prosthetic adjustments or even surgical interventions in cases of large volume.
