Impact of the misuse of social networks on university nursing students [ Impacto del mal uso de redes sociales en los estudiantes universitarios de enfermería]

Objective: to analyse the impact of the misuse of social networks on university nursing students. Method: systematic review was applied, the population was refined to 15 related scientific articles. Conclusion: The impact of social media misuse on undergraduate nursing students reveals a complex picture where potential benefits, such as promoting resilience and social support, are offset by significant negative effects. Misuse of these platforms can increase anxiety, depression and affect academic performance, especially in situations of cyberbullying and online violence, issues such as e-professionalism and gender inequalities emerge as areas of concern, highlighting the need to encourage ethical and responsible use of social media.
