Objective: to analyse the effective management of diarrhoea focused on IMCI Plan A. Methods: Systematic review was applied, the population was refined to 15 related scientific articles. Conclusion: Treatment failure in susceptible tuberculosis is influenced by multiple factors ranging from late diagnosis and underuse of diagnostic techniques, such as radiology, to confusion with non-tuberculous mycobacteria. The patient's immune response, particularly in immunocompromised patients, plays a critical role, as does adherence to treatment, which depends largely on the support of health care providers and accessibility to health services. In addition, geographical and cultural barriers limit adequate access to treatment in certain regions, while reinfection in areas of high transmission remains a challenge.
