Resumen

Objetivo: analizar las propiedades bioquímicas de la saliva. Método: revisión sistemática. Resultados y Conclusión: Las propiedades bioquímicas de la saliva, como el flujo, pH, capacidad tampón y biomarcadores desempeñan un rol fundamental en la protección de la salud bucal, actuando como barreras naturales frente a enfermedades como la caries y la periodontitis. Estas propiedades están influenciadas por factores internos, como condiciones sistémicas, y externos, como la dieta y el uso de productos dentales.
