Impacto de la cirugía ortognática en el tratamiento del apnea obstructiva del sueño [Impact of orthognathic surgery in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea]

Objetivo: analizar el impacto de la cirugía ortognática en el tratamiento del apnea obstructiva del sueño. Método: revisión sistemática. Resultados: se revisaron 15 articulos científicos. Conclusión: El "Surgery-First" en la cirugía ortognática ha demostrado ser una alternativa efectiva y eficiente para el tratamiento del apnea obstructiva del sueño, ofreciendo beneficios clave como la reducción del tiempo total de tratamiento y una mejora rápida en la funcionalidad respiratoria. A través de una planificación quirúrgica precisa y el uso de tecnologías avanzadas, el SFOA facilita una corrección inmediata de las obstrucciones anatómicas, mejorando la calidad de vida de los pacientes.
