Resumen

Objetivo: diseñar un protocolo y establecer un manejo adecuado y terapéutico para la inserción de la sonda vesical, con el propósito de ofrecer una guía clara y detallada sobre el procedimiento.. Metodología: revisión sistemática de 31 documentos científicos. Resultados: el protocolo de la colocación de sonda vesical permite determinar técnicas y procedimientos acerca de la higiene, asepsia y proceso de colocación, disminuyendo considerablemente los efectos adversos, consecuencias e infecciones intrahospitalarias que podrían repercutir en el bienestar de los pacientes. Conclusión: La prevención de las iatrogenias durante el procedimiento de colocación de la sonda vesical es crucial para la seguridad y salud del paciente. Es esencial que el personal sanitario esté completamente capacitado y actualizado en las técnicas adecuadas, siguiendo los protocolos hospitalarios establecidos.
